School , Being a student young or older is tough. Whether you are in it and you are young, or you were brave enough to go back. The pressures are real, the stresses are real and the work needs to be done. If you stand half the chance of doing well and getting some decent offers when you graduate. I along with many others did not take school seriously then, and of course I regret it now. I look back and think, if only I had done it right when I had the chance.
I do not like to say I have regrets I don't, I would have done a couple of things differently when I was younger and school was one of them. I was a great student when I applied myself, so I know I was able..
We make a lot of acquaintances, and a few true real friends. The ones that we keep for a life time. I have children, and I have tried over and over to explain the real friendships and their value and to hold onto those because they are so rare. The kids think they are all friends and ride to you die kind, they're not and they blow my mind as to what they are willing to risk for these kids.
I try to let them see the importance of buckling down in the last couple years of their high school career so they see some will not go to school, and that if they (mine do) then they need to have that self discipline to do the work and have limits.. Easier said then done, I just hope that some of what I say sticks. And you never really know until they are grown how it is going to go.
We just pray a lot and hope for the best.. And that is what I hope for any one who is reading this now if you are school aged? Not to sweat the small stuff, let it ride. I know it all seems so life altering at the time, and that THIS IS IT!!" But it's not, I promise . It passes and it gets better.
Enjoy your youth now while you can don't rush to grow up although we all do. And be kind to people.
